Online and Alternative Worship Services

In March of 2020, the state of Ohio placed emergency shelter-in-place orders into effect to help combat the spread of the novel coronavirus global pandemic. In order to continue providing worship services to our congregation and to the Columbus community and beyond, Trinity Lutheran Church began recording and broadcasting weekly services, children's messages, and musical meditations through YouTube and Facebook.

As of June 2021, we have concluded our virtual broadcasts and returned to in-person worship. Our YouTube channel remains open. We are still committed to keeping everyone safe, healthy, and able to worship to the very best of our ability.

At-Home Communion

We know that sometimes it is difficult for folks to get to church. Mobility, work, health, and distance can make it hard or impossible to attend Holy Communion safely. In this time of pandemic and social distance, this is more true than ever. That is why Trinity Lutheran Church provides the opportunity for at-home communion.

We can prepare personalized communion packages for you and your loved ones to take home and use in private, or along with others during our weekly video service. Each communion sample is sealed, sanitary, and consecrated by our head pastor. You can arrange to have your communion package picked up at the church, or dropped off at your home (depending on your location!).

If you would like to receive communion from Trinity Lutheran Church for use at home, please give a call to the church, or email the pastor directly.

Email, Call-em-All, and Media

As part of our continued community outreach, Trinity Lutheran Church provides multiple communication methods to our members, guests, and any who are interested in learning more about Old Trinity and interacting more with our services.

Throughout the pandemic weekly emails have been sent out to our congregation and friends. While these emails no longer go out every week, you can still sign up for our email blasts to stay up to date on the latest goings-on at Trinity.

Our weekly Happenings newsletter is included in the church bulletin every week, and is available here online as well. The Happenings contains calendars for events, liturgy readings, messages from the council and Pastor, and the latest version of our churchwide Prayer List.

Every month (or so) we mail out the Trinity Tidings newsletter, which provides a closer look at the church calendar, scheduled events, community projects, and policy updates that may not always fit in the Happenings. If you would like to receive a copy of the monthly Trinity Tidings, you can email your contact information to the church office at office@oldtrinity.com, or go to the CONTACT US page.

Our Call-em-All service provides liturgical messages and prayers to church contacts by phone. Messages are sent out throughout the week from our pastor to your phone. If you don't have time to listen to the call, there's no worry. Each recorded message will play to your voicemail so you can listen at your leisure.

If you would like to subscribe to our Trinity Call-em-All services, email the church office. Phone numbers are kept secure and confidential, and you can alter, pause, or cancel at any time.
